How about that good looking group?  On January 18-20, DCI held it’s first ever Company wide gathering in downtown Tampa with an event named, Grow your Business, “The DCI Way”.  The 2008 Kick-Off Gathering began on Friday afternoon with everyone either driving in or flying in from all over the country.  We were only shy 3 of our Associates, but for everyone who made the trip, it was a very good weekend.

 

After everyone checked into their rooms at the Marriott Waterfront in down town Tampa, it was just a short walk over the bridge to Jackson’s Bistro where we gathered for cocktails and good food.  With spouses in tow, we had a good size group with lots of first time introductions.  To help everyone get to know each other as quickly as possible, Cristina and Michal (our Accounting Team) were there handing out name tags and personal tidbits about each participant.  For those who mingled the most and figured out what tidbit belonged to which person, there was a bundle of cash!

 

We had a great day Saturday with several guests participating is an “Ideas for Dollars” game show.  It was a big hit with everyone winning cash for great ideas!  We topped off the day with a special awards ceremony, presenting both Service and Performance awards.

Although we had some tough weather come through just as we are departing on our evening cruise, we all made it through the dinner and a few drinks with no major issues.  The prom group that shared the boat with us were surprised to see their pictures were labeled with the DCI logo and “Grow Your Business, The DCI Way”. 

 

All and all a great weekend!  We’ve already been asked about next year . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . .
